in 1793, there was a yellow fever (no, not that kind) epidemic in Philadelphia and the French declared war on Britain, the Dutch and Spain. It was also the year the eponymous Plymouth Gin Distillery opened in the UK.
And it's still going…our latest gin is the "Plymouth Gin". Only gin's made in Plymouth can be called Plymouth gins, and there's only one distillery, so this is it. Plymouth gin is generally less dry and more fruity than regular London Dry gins, and makes for a great G&T as well as being a popular gin in cocktails. It is, unfortunately, not usually available in China.
Because it's Friday, at the end of a 6 day week, we're selling Plymouth Gin & Tonics for only 50 RMB, the same price as a Gordons or Beefeater G&T. If Plymouth's not to your liking, we have another 16 gins to try from a rare Spanish one made with Buddha's Hand to a barrel-aged beauty from Iceland. And of course, lots of rare beer, whisky, tequila, rum, brandy, etc.
